SWEDEN'S Crown Princess Victoria turns 45 on Thursday, July 14. The princess's birthday is celebrated in the traditional way at Borgholm Castle, on the island of Öland.

In the live broadcast of Svensk Dam magazine, the happy King Kaarle Kustaa, 76, gave a speech in honor of his daughter's birthday in front of Solliden Castle.

After that, Victoria was congratulated with a Swedish congratulatory song accompanied by a children's choir.

AFTER THE BIRTHDAY song, the children's choir performed another song for Victoria and the rest of the party audience.

The Crown Princess danced to the song and also tried to get her daughter Estelle, 10, excited to join in. However, Estelle was not convinced by her mother's attempt and shyly contented herself with clapping as her mother continued her happy dance.

AFTER THE PERFORMANCE, the birthday hero himself gave a small speech in front of the castle. He thanked the people who came and was happy about how many people were there.

After the crown princess's speech, Estelle ran to whisper happily into her mother's ear. The duo then moved hand-in-hand to stand next to the royal couple as well as Victoria's husband Prince Daniel, 48, and the couple's second child Oscar, 6.

CROWN PRINCESS Victoria's birthday has traditionally been celebrated in a celebration called Victoria Day.

Due to the corona pandemic, the day's celebrations have been more subdued in previous years, but this year the princess's birthday has been celebrated in Sweden again with big parties for a week.

From Solliden Castle, Victoria and her family traveled by horse-drawn carriage through Borgholm towards Borgholm Castle, where the evening festivities continue. The carriages left around 17:40 Finnish time, and the trip took about an hour.
