Metso Outotec hires more employees and invests 20 million in new machines

Technology company Metso Outotec has launched a program to develop a new range of electrically operated products for crawler crushers and screens.
Since 2020, the company has developed a product package that will be used to build the new machines in the Lokotrack range. The total investment is EUR 20 million.
The design phase of the first new products is currently underway. Most of the development work takes place at Metso Outotec's technology center in Tampere.
- The program currently employs about a hundred people from several different functions. Most of the work is done in Tampere. More people have been hired for the development work and even more, will be hired if necessary, says Helena Marjaranta, Senior Vice President, Communications and Brand.
