Prime Minister Marin on Turkey's NATO response: Why have the messages changed?

The Prime Minister, the chairman of the SDP, Sanna Marin, wonders why Turkey's opinion on Finland's and Sweden's membership in NATO has changed.

- Finland has been assured in the past that Turkey does not want to put any obstacles in the way of Finland's and Sweden's possible NATO membership or complicate this process.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan does not intend to support the accession of Finland and Sweden to NATO. According to news agency sources, Erdogan has also said that the visit of representatives of Finland and Sweden to Turkey would not help the matter.

Marin, who has met with the chairmen of other major parliamentary parties in A-studio, finds Turkey's messages worrying, but stresses the restraint in the situation.

- I believe that things will be resolved through discussion.
