The Corona Passport and the Corona Certificate Reader application will be phased out in Finland
According to THL, there are no longer grounds for using a corona passport and therefore the use of the corona certificate reader application and the corona passport will be discontinued.
At events and restaurants, the corona passport is no longer requested in Finland.
The Koronapass and its reader application will be discontinued in Finland at events and restaurants, says the Department of Health and Welfare THL.
According to THL, in the current epidemic situation, there are no longer grounds for using a corona passport and therefore the use of the corona certificate reader application and the corona passport will be discontinued.
The reader app will no longer be available for download after Wednesday. You can remove the application from your mobile phone yourself.
The Corona Certificate Reader app was launched last October. It had a maximum of 250,000 users and a maximum of 12,000 inspections per day.
Although the use of the EU corona certificate will end in Finland, it may still be needed for trips abroad. If you are going on a trip abroad, check if the destination country requires a corona certificate from travelers, THL reminds.
