The Air Force is training in the capital region this week - be prepared for the noise of fighter jets

The capital region's air defense exercise is organized as part of the summer 2022 training package of the Swedish Armed Forces.

The Air Force is training in the capital region this week - be prepared for the noise of fighter jets
This week, the defense forces are training with, among other things, F/A-18 Hornet fighters. The photo was taken on 5 feb, 2022. 

The Air Force is organizing an air defense exercise this week, so those living and moving around the capital region should be prepared for the noise of fighter jets.

In the capital region, the fighters fly from Tuesday to Thursday, 26–28 July 2022.

The website of the Finnish Defense Forces informs that the Jaeger Regiment of the Guard trains in the Vuosaari peak area, Hernesaari, Jätkäsaari, and Herttoniemi. In addition, the Jaeger Regiment of the Guard trains in Kulomäki, Vantaa.

The exercise includes F/A-18 Hornet fighters and Hawk jet trainers, with which the Air Force flies individual target and support flights.

Troops from different troop divisions and all defense branches participate in the air defense exercise.
